Assistant Brewer
FATE Brewing Company, recently named Colorado’s best new brewery by RateBeer, is looking for an Assistant Brewer to join our innovative, high volume brewing team here in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
Job Summary This person is responsible for assisting the head brewer in all brewery tasks. Work includes brewing, cellaring, cleaning, filtering, kegging, bottling, record keeping and recipe development. Assistant brewer will also be responsible for attending off-site beer events.
Job Requirements
- At least six months commercial brewing experience and strong knowledge in beer and fermentation science including all aspects of brewing, cellaring, yeast handling, CIP and sanitizing
- Communication, multi-tasking, planning and organizational skills
- Hard working and dependable with the desire to be part of a team
- Strong sense of ownership and passionate about the craft brewing industry
- Self starter with the desire to learn from and teach others, as well as the desire to try new things and add value in a creative and innovative environment
- Mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 55lbs and work over eight hours at a time on your feet
- Full availability including weekends
- Formal brewing education is a plus
